Man Killed In Bridge Debacle

A Thai man fell to his death when he drove his bike across an unfinished bridge. There was no lighting, and no signs to indicate the bridge was incomplete.

BANGKOK – March 22, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; the police of Lak Song police station were notified that there had been an incident at the bridge over Thawee Watthana canal, exit side of Phutthamonthon 3 road, Boromarajajonani Road, so they went to inspect the scene. The male victim was identified as Mr. Phanusorn Rasriphenngarm, aged 45, who drove a Honda Wave motorbike, license number Nor Thor Mor 458 Bangkok, which was found severely damaged next to the body.

Upon investigation police found that not only was there no lighting in the lethal area, but also no one had bothered to put signs up to caution drivers of the dangers ahead. The police will be contacting the contractor to prosecute him further to Thai law for his incompetence.
