Man Caught For Motor Vehicle Theft

Police caught a man after he had stolen belongings from victim’s cars.

PATTAYA – July 18,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 10.30am Pol Col Jirawut Tunmatsee, chief of Nongprue police station, Pol Lt Col Tapanat Chayanpat, deputy chief, and police officers made the statement about arrest Manop Budcharoen 55-year-old on charge of robbery and Nimit Ketnet, 34-year-old victim, identified him as thief who had stolen his belongings in car.

 

On June 20, police officers were notified from Nimit that his car was broken and belongings were taken in Mabprachan reservoir. The thief took 2 cellphones, 4 amulets and wallet with 14,000 baht.

In addition, the police officers found out that several victims were robbed at same location; therefore, the officers planned to catch him at the scene. The officers parked a car there and they monitored until Manop rode motorcycle to the scene. He used screwdriver to unlock the car so the officers identified himself to arrest him.

 

Upon questioning Manop he confessed that he stole things from victim cars twice and he also robbed Nimit’s car and he sold some items already. Later the police officers went to inspect his house.

 

Pol Col Jirawut warned people to not leave valuable in car even though the car is locked.
