Man Attacks Police Officer After His Shop Was Inspected

A Karaoke shop owner attacked a police officer after his shop was inspected by police officers because he hadn’t closed to respect the Buddhist day.

PATTAYA – March 4,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; At 04.30 am reporters revealed that Pol.L.Cpl.Baworn Hattachot-leader of the protection division of Pattaya police station- led a team to patrol around entertainment venues after they had been ordered by the Royal Thai police to enforce the rule that venues had to close at midnight because the following day was a Buddhist day.

Upon inspecting the police officers went to the middle of Ko Pai road in South Pattaya and they found a Karaoke shop was still open so they inspected the shop. Later a drunken Thai man claimed that he was the owner and he was dissatisfied with the officers and scolded them, therefore he was taken to the police station.

In addition the man kicked Mr.Siharat Ratwijit a 37 year old volunteer police officer. The incident became chaotic as he fought back against the police taking him to the police station. Also the shop manager was also taken to the police station.
