Man Arrested For High Profile Shooting – Girlfriend Accomplice Still At Large

At 6 pm on 30th September a shooting incident occurred in Soi South Pattaya 20 in which. Mr. Chaiya was shot by a man riding a motorbike who managed to escape. The victim, who has a criminal record, didn’t survive and died at the hospital on the same day.

AT 2 am on Friday, October the 3rd, Pol.Col.Noppadol Wongnorm, Pattaya superintendent and his team revealed that police had arrested the suspect, Mr. Anan Sutsamrit (21), from Surin province, at 41/11 South Pattaya road, Moo. 10, Nongprue, Banglamung. Mr. Anan was packing and ready to leave his home town as the police seized him and took his gun for the evidence.

Mr. Anan told the police that Mr. Chaiya ordered 50 ya-ba tablets from him and hadn’t paid. He had demanded payment for 10,000 baht a few times but Mr. Chaiya had refused to pay.

On Tuesday, September the 30th, he had spotted Mr. Chaiya riding on his motorbike. Mr. Anan, with his girlfriend of one month, Miss Anchana Naknooch (22), sat behind him, followed the victim until they arrived at an intersection waiting for a green light. Miss Anchana immediately got off the motorbike and jumped in front of Mr. Chaiya. Mr. Anan then fired 4 shots into him and another 2 shots to the sky and sped away with his girlfriend.

According to the police, Mr. Chaiya tried to ride away but he could only manage to go inside the South Pattaya soi 20 where he collapsed.

On Friday, October the 3rd , at 10.00 am., police took Mr. Anan for a reconstruction of the attempted murder before sending him for further proceedings in this high profile case. Miss Anchana managed to escape but the police are searching and will bring her to justice as soon as possible.
