Luxury Thai House On Fire In Pattaya

A British couple who argued with each other set their own house on fire. Fortunately, the officers could rush to the scene and extinguish the fire in time.

PATTAYA – January 18,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 22.00 pm Pol.Lt.Col.Kowit Sawasmonkol-inspector of Pattaya police station- was notified a house was on fire. After notification the police officers and firemen with 2 fire trucks immediately rushed to the scene.


At the scene, a luxury Thai house with 2 floors and a pool, appeared to be on fire. Upon inspecting the fire was on the bed in a bedroom so the officers extinguished the fire and release the smoke. The house was messy and belongings were ransacked around the house.

MR.STEVEN LEONARD BREWSTER aged 49 from England and MISS.LOUISE MARIE MORRISON aged 43 the house owners, were drunk and had been arguing with each other, officers had to calm them down and took them to police station in order to question them further about the incident. Later the husband fled away while the wife argued and yelled at the officers and drove them from the house at which point she locked herself inside the house.


Upon questioning the neighbors they revealed that the couple previously argued with each other many times. First time, they left a cigarette on the bed and caused a fire, later the wife was angry with her husband and drove the car into the house gate causing damage to both the car and gate.

Initially the officers expected that one of the couple set fire to the bed. However police asked the neighbors to monitor them and notify the officers when they spotted something wrong.
