Lubricant Refinery Burnt Down

Oil refinery burns to the ground after a machine overheated. Fortunately, no one was injured from the incident.

PATTAYA- January 15,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 17.00 pm Pol.Lt.Udom Simart-inspector of Huay Yai police station- was notified that Everfrank Technology Co.,Ltd was on fire. After notification, the police officers, administrative officers and firemen rushed to the scene.


At the scene, a lubricator refinery, the building was ablaze, officials had spent half an hour to distinguish the fire, fortunately, no one was injured from the incident. Upon inspecting, damage to the machinery was expected to cost over 1 million baht.

Upon questioning Mr.Huang Feng Iz aged 30 from Taiwan, who was the manager of the refinery said that he revealed that he attempted to control and extinguish the fire before it got out of control but they couldn’t cope with the fire that was starting to rage uncontrollably, at which point they before they decided to notify the emergency services.


Mr.Kwanmuang Yenboontham-deputy chief of Khaomaikaew district- revealed that the refinery relocated from Plutaluang district to Khaomaikaew district in 2013 because the villagers had complained that they were affected from the refinery. Later the refinery owner asked permission for the refinery construction in Khaomaikaew district but the officers didn’t allow them because the plan was substandard. However, the operator still constructed the refinery and produced lubricators. The plant caught fire a month ago and the Mayor of Khaomaikaew ordered the operator to stop production but they continued to work.

Mr.Amnart Charoensi-deputy chief of Bang Lamung- revealed that the operator didn’t care about the Thai law and was adamant he would continue his operation. Initially, the police officers would prosecute them according to Thai law and they also dispatch this action to Chonburi government in order to dismiss their operation further.
