Lots Of Dead Baby Jelly Fish Wash Up On Jomtien Beach Pattaya

Vendors on Jomtien beach informed journalists that lots of aquatic animals which looked like baby jelly fish had washed up on the beach. There were lots floating around in the sea and the ones which had been washed up on the beach were giving off a really bad smell.

PATTAYA – August 4, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; the journalists were informed by vendors on Jomtien beach, Moo 12 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province, that there was a lot of aquatic animals that looked like dead baby jelly fish which were floating in the sea and had been washed up on Jomtien Beach causing a bad smell.

 

Initially, Pattaya city had warn people and tourists to be more careful while swimming in the sea because they may be harmed by the aquatic animals. One beach trampoline vendor told the journalists that this time every year there are always a lot of dead aquatic animals that looked like jelly fish and he warned tourists to be more careful while swimming but they didn’t listen to his warnings and when they came out of the sea they complained of having itchy skin.

 

The journalists reported that Pattaya city had ordered a team of officers to inspect Jomtien beach where they found a lot of baby jelly fish that had been were tossed around by the large waves and were washed up on the beach which is phenomenon that happens once a year. However, Pattaya officers will give some of the dead jelly fish to the Department of Fisheries so they can inspect them further.
