Latest Update Of Foreigner Murdered On Koh Lan

Pattaya police will reward 5,000 baht to anyone who will lead to identify murdered foreigner in Koh Lan.

PATTAYA – December 19,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; According to the case that a foreigner was found dead floating in Koh Lan and Pattaya police focus on this case, divers were sent to inspect the location where the body was found and they found items of dead such as cutter knife, snorkel etc. It’s estimated that the dead might be Russian man.


On Pattaya Police, Facebook page, posted pictures of dead and the official would reward 5,000 baht to the person who will lead to identification the dead. In addition, CCTV footages around Pattaya which captured that guy were also disclosed. A footage of December 11 at Central Festival Pattaya Beach captured him buying diving equipment and he was also captured at Bali Hai pier with a Thai girl who went to dive with him. Later that Thai girl disappeared.


Pol Col Chatchapol Pattarasiriporn, acting investigation chief, revealed that the doctor disclosed autopsy result that his throat had been slashed a little but there is no wound on his body. Plus, he has stayed in Pattaya for several months and he always went to shoot fish in Koh Lan when he was alive.


Initially, the officers estimated that he might be killed by a villager because he used to shoot the fish that the villager farm. However, the officers summoned the fishery farmer to question but he didn’t act suspiciously before releasing him temporarily.


Pol Col Chatchapol added that the officers expected that the truth will be unclosed soon.
