A man who shot a tour guide in a restaurant because he was playing music too loud decided to surrender himself to the police.

PATTAYA- Recently- [Pattaya Daily News] according to the case that Mr.Somjit Saelee aged 26 a guide of V.L.C. Tour company notified Pol.Lt.Col.Prasit Munsi-inspector of Bang Lamung police station- that he was attacked and shot by another tour guide in a restaurant at 01.30 am on 23rd  January. He added that he was shot because he played his music too loud.


On the 23rd  January at 15.00 pm, Mr.Kittiwin Jou  the 23 year old restaurant owner who shot the victim decided to surrender to the police with his 9 mm automatic pistol.


Mr.Kittiwin said that Mr.Hui aged 23 who was his brother in-law and he was also a guide called him and said that he was attacked by Mr.Somjit and 5-6 other men in the restaurant. Later he rushed to help him at the scene and he tried to intervene but Mr.Somjit and his men tried to attack him. Therefore, he decided to shoot into the sky for 3 times before him and his brother in-law  fled the scene. In addition, he insisted that he didn’t point the gun at the Chinese tourist.


He added that his brother in-law told him that he had eaten food in the restaurant and he found Mr.Somjit who was with some Chinese tourists. Later Mr.Somjit turned on some music so he told the restaurant owner to turn the volume down which made  Mr.Somjit angry and he argued with him before they all started fighting.


Pol.Col.Chanapat Nawaluk-superintendent of Bang Lamung police station- revealed that the officers had prosecuted Mr.Kittiwin for taking a fire arm into a public place, having it without permission and shooting in public area. However, the officials were investigating the truth from other witnesses.
