Large “Nosey” Python Frightens Surprised Family in Sattahip

A large python has been captured in a village community at Sattahip early on Tuesday morning. A concerned mother who had discovered the serpent inside the family home called animal rescue services to the village.

Pattaya, the 13th of July 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: At approximately 00:30am on Tuesday, the Sawang Rodjanatham Foundation radio control center received notification of a large python being discovered in the Phetnapha Land Village in Sattahip. A team of animal rescue specialists were immediately dispatched to the scene to capture the snake.

At the scene, a single story house with a small garden, rescue workers discovered the large python in a patch of vegetation at the front of the property. The snake measured approximately 3m in length and nearly 7.5cm in diameter.

Mrs. Nannapat Thanasakworrarat [38], the owner of the house and her 4-year-old son were standing nearby in a state of shock. Mrs. Thanasakworrarat explained that she and her son had been asleep when a concerned neighbour woke them after witnessing the large python enter her house. She immediately carried her young son out of the house and called the rescue services.

Animal rescue workers successfully captured the python without much trouble and will now release it into the military training grounds at Khao Laem Pujao.
