Ladyboy Thief Finally Arrested After Stealing Kuwaiti’s 300,000 Baht Possessions

Tourist Police were finally able to arrest the transexual who stole money worth over 300,000 THB of a Kuwaiti's in Pattaya. He was arrested in Had Yai district in Songkla Province.

PATTAYA – May 22, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; At around 07.30 PM various police chiefs and officers together with voluntary officers of Pattaya, arrested the transexual suspect who has been chased after plundering an enormous amount money of a 56 year-old Kuwaiti national on May 15, 2013. He was arrested at a Hospital in Songkla province, where he went to transform his gender. Police seized money of around 50,000 THB after searching the suspect. He was then flown from Hadyai Airport to Don Muang Airport in Bangkok, but since he just transformed his gender, he was still injured.

After questioning Mr. Sumitr Manupun, the suspect, he confessed his crimes. He told the police that he met Mr. Duhaiman, the Kuwaiti victim at a dance club at Walking Street. Upon meeting Mr. Duhaiman, the suspect asked if he would want to sleep with him at a local hotel. Mr. Duhaiman insisted and they went to sleep together at a hotel. When Mr. Duhaiman fell asleep, he was plundered by the transexual and after he stole his money he prompted his partner to hide in Bangkok. When he went to Bangkok he exchanged the foreign money at a currency exchange booth. He then transferred the money to a bank account he just opened and continued to use money.

The suspect also told the police that it’s every’s transexual dream to have an operation to transform their gender. After further investigation it was known that he paid around 100,000 THB to perform the operation.

When the incident happened on the 15th of May, police immediately sent out a team to find and investigate the suspect. Just only after a few days, the suspect was identified, and ultimately arrested. He is now in police custody and will be charged for his crimes.
