Ladyboy Beauty Captures Miss Tiffany Crown

A captivating ladyboy nicknamed “Nek” was crowned Miss Tiffany Universe 2013. The queen’s prizes included a Honda jazz car, vouchers worth 1.5 million baht, and a 500,000 baht diamond crown. The winner will represent Thailand in the transgender world contest, “Miss International Queen 2013.”

PATTAYA – May 3, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]: At 9:30 p.m. the top 10 ladyboy finalists competed in the televised final round of the Miss Tiffany Universe 2013 pageant, held at the Tiffany Show theatre in Pattaya.

The cheering crowd included judges, honored guests and the mass media. The pageant theme, “A La Chic,” upholds the ideals of making dreams comes true, being beautiful with self confidence, and cultivating intelligence for the freedom to pursue opportunities.

Out of 100 applicants, 27 beautiful ladyboys were chosen by the pageant committee to compete for this year’s crown. Since April 28, the contestants appeared in many activities to promote tourism at many important places, both in Bangkok and Pattaya.

During the April 30 swimsuit semi-final, the winner of the “Miss Kiss Sexy Star 2013” was Mr. Sophida Rachanon. His first prize put him on the fast track score to enter the final round automatically. He also received 15,000 THB cash.

But the dazzling ladyboy who captivated the judges to win the crown of Miss Tiffany Universe 2013 was Mr. Natenaphada Kalyanon or Nek. Among the spoils of victory was a diamond crown worth 500,000 THB, a Honda Jazz car, and gift voucher cards from the sponsors worth more than 1,500,000 THB. A bonus prize included a beautiful dress.

As the new Miss Tiffany Universe, Mr. Nek will represent Thailand in the future world transgender contest “Miss International Queen 2013,” which Thailand will be hosting at the end of this year.

Winning second prize was a brainy beauty, Mr. Chananchida Roongpetcharat from Bangkok. He is a newly graduated student of the Faculty of Arts, majoring in Japanese language, Ratchamongkul Technology University, Bangkok. He received 100,000 THB cash and gift voucher cards from the sponsors.

Third place went to the swimsuit contest winner, Mr. Sophida Rachanon, who received 70,000 THB cash. The Friendship Prize was awarded to Patcharaporn Naiint. The favorite contestant in the minds of the mass media was Mr. Yada Khongsricharern, who they would have picked to win the contest.

A pageant judge, Assistant Professor Dr. Seri Wongmontha, revealed that the objective in setting up the contest is the same every year. The purpose is to choose the beautiful ladyboy who has talent and is beautiful both in body and mind, in order to proudly represent Thailand in the world contest “Miss International Queen 2013.”

Some of the pageant proceeds will be donated to the Thai Red Cross for their project, “Returning to Parents Their Children Who Are Safe From HIV,” through the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Soamsawali Kitiyakara.

Dr. Seri was the chairman of the pageant committee. The judging panel included Mr. Sutharm Phanthusak, Managing Director Tiffany Show Pattaya Co., Ltd., Ms. Alisa Phanthusak, Assistant Managing Director; and the committee team members.
