Korean Gamblers Notify Lie To Pattaya Police

Two Korean guys told a lie to Pattaya police that they had been plundered by group of men pretending as police officers. It’s estimated that they might have football bet debt and they were threatened.

PATTAYA-Recently-[PattayaDailyNews]; According to the case that Mr Park Daniel aged 35 and Mr Lim Sanghyeok aged 31 from Korea were threatened and extorted money by a group of 10 men who pretended as policemen and these men used weapons to commit the crime. Plus, these men threatened the victims to give 300,000 baht; otherwise, they would file a charge of football bet on them. The incident took place in a condominium.

 

Later the police officers went to inspect the condominium in order to check CCTV footage. Upon inspection the officers found out that the suspects might be Korean guys; however, there was an error in CCTV on the incident day so the officers can’t identify the car that the suspects used.

Pol Lt Col Winai Horien, inspector, revealed that the officers appointed the victims to question but the victims didn’t come to meet the officers. Initially, the officers expected that the victims might tell a lie and those men might come to collect football bet debt. However, the officers would investigate further in order to find out the truth. If the victims told a lie to officer, they would be file a charge according to Thai law.
