SRIRACHA – July 14, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- reporters had inspected the amount of tourists on Koh Loi, Sri Racha, and found that it was still popular with lots of tourists even though Sri Racha municipal office had announced to close the bridge which had been deteriorating for a long time because there wasn’t enough money in the budget to renovate it.

However the officers had renovated some parts of the park such as sea turtle pond, Kwan yin shrine and Koh Loi temple. Also there were a lot of tourists during last weekend’s long holiday. Unfortunately the bridge has deteriorated too much therefore the municipal office needed to close it until they get approval from the board to renovate it.

Although the municipal officers had put up a sign warning people not to use the bridge some people still used it to cross over to Koh Sichung. The officers were afraid that the bridge may collapse at any time and some visitors had parked their cars on it.
