Koh Larn Travel Ltd. Operations Suspended In Pattaya

The chief district officer had summoned the owner of Koh Larn Travel Ltd to discuss the complaints about the business after a tourist had complained on a website.

PATTAYA – July 17, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 09.30 am Mr Sakchai Tang-Ho-chief district of Bang Lamung- chaired a conference about the complaints from concerning boat from Koh Larn Travel Ltd. Mr Ronnakit Aekasing-deputy mayor of Pattaya, Mr Tharnthip Meelaksana-representative from tourism and sport club of Chonbri and Mr Rewat Poriang-director of marine department. They had discussed the problems and complaints with the company owner at Pattaya City Hall.

The conference was held because a traveler had posted on a website that Koh Larn travel was unsafe and advised people not to use them as you would be putting your life in danger. Therefore the chief district officers summoned the operator and those involved to discuss the complaint in order to solve the problem. Initially the officers suspended their transportation service until the operator can improve its safety. Also the officers will contact the governor to see if the operator can open again or not.

Ko Lan Travel Ltd had been registered with the tourism agency but they had used their business just for transporting people and had no guide was illegal. Therefore the officers had ordered the owner to revise their plan and submit a new one. koh Larn travel has been suspended from operating since July 18th . In addition Pattaya officers had installed a notice board showing the fare for traveling to Koh Larn and a car park for travelers.
