International, the 2nd of August 2010: Vladimir, the younger of the two Klitschko bothers dominating heavyweight boxing, has revealed he is tired of Haye’s continual avoidance of a potential title reunification bout.

“I am ready to fight against David Haye anywhere in this world,” Klitschko said. “He (Haye) just needs to make the next step. Sign the contract, get in the ring and get the fight. I have no respect for this man because he is nothing but a little dog that just runs away when the big dog turns around.”

At present the heavyweight titles are divided between the three men, with Vladimir holding the WBO, IBF and IBO belts, his brother Vitali is the WBC champion and Haye is the WBA titleholder.

Despite the speculation, the Klitschko’s have repeatedly proclaimed that they will not fight each other, meaning a potential bout with Haye and victory by Vladimir would effectively unify the world titles under the Klitschko name.

Speaking at the Commerzbank Arena in Frankfurt, where he will fight Nigerian Samuel Peter on September 11, Klitschko (54-3, 48KO) added: “Right now (Haye) is just not important to me.”

Klitschko said his fight with Peter, made after original opponent Alexander Povetkin pulled out, would be tough, but that the Nigerian’s similar style and size meant he did not have to adjust his preparations.
