King’s Cup International Jet ski Competition

Pattaya is organizing a International Jet Ski competition, where athletes from 20 countries around the world compete for King’Cup on 10-11 December 2005 at Jomtien Beach.

          14.00, 27 October 2005, in Conference room at Pattaya City Hall, Mr. Weerawat Kahkay, Mayor of Pattaya, called for a meeting about King’s Cup International Jet ski Competition 2005 on behalf of the Jet Ski Association Thailand underpatronage of Princess Ubol Ratana, and Pattaya City.

          Mr. Weerawat informed that this sport event will be held at Jomtien Beach Pattaya on 10-11 December 2005. Pattaya has been before organizing this event for already 3 consecutive years. The previous competitions have been very successful and impressed many people as well as athletes from around the world. Also the media appreciatively stated that Pattaya has the best circuit in Asia and the second in the world.

          For the budget of the event, Pattaya has funded 1.5 million baht to support. In this year, there will be athletes from more than 20 countries around the world to compete in this event, 200 Thai athletes and with no less than 1000-1500 of other participants expected to be in this competition. Fortunately this opportunity is one of the best ways to promote Tourism in our country, Thailand, especially Pattaya.

          For the public announcement and media, there will be a live broadcast on UBC Channel 36 and Channel 11 and 3, this also internationally put on air for approximately 10 million people around the world.
