Mr. Songpol Chevapanyaroj, First Senior Vice President, KASIKORN BANK, said in a recent interview that the ?Best Trade Finance Provider in Thailand 2009? has come to KBank for two successive years based on a survey on the ?World?s Best Trade Finance Providers 2009? conducted by Global Finance magazine.

The accolade is solid proof that KBank trade finance service is outstanding. This is particularly true of our ?Trade Innovations? that provide an integrated trade finance service via three primary components, i.e., International Trade Service Offices, now totaling 55 locations nationwide (an additional 65 offices to be opened in 2009); International Trade Specialists (ITS) who provide useful advice and prompt, quality service to corporate customers; and, K-Trade Connect ? a 24-hour online service that ensures reduced transaction costs and reduces or eliminates travel time to KBank branches for clients.

Other value-added services are also available, including transaction status checks, payment guarantees, real-time exchange rate information and import-export alerts. KASIKORNBANK is the first bank in Asia that links their trade finance system with DHL Express International courier services, enabling faster deliveries of documentation and payments. KBank has formed a global network in cooperation with other international financial providers such as JP Morgan, Chase N.A., Deutsche Bank A.G., Bank of New York Mellon, etc., giving KBank a vast worldwide network and expert specialists that enable us to render services to clients operating around the world.

Finally, Mr. Songpol added that the development of trade finance innovations and strengthened alliances with business partners are conducive to KBank becoming an outstanding, internationally recognized trade finance service provider. In 2008, KBank is estimated to have gained a 24 percent market share of Thai trade finance business, up more than 40 percent over the KBank share in 2007.
