Jet Ski Vendor Arrested After Shooting Incident

A Jet Ski vendor was chased and shot at by the group of teenagers that they argued with in a pub. So he took out his gun and shot back at them in retaliation but was arrested by police.

PATTAYA – February 1, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; Pol. Capt. Thanasit Kaenluem (Deputy Inspector of Pattaya city police station) was notified that there was a teenage man who had used a gun in front of Tamnan Chon pub, Pattaya third road, he then fled in a bronze Toyota Vigo 4 door-pickup truck, license number KHOR KHOR-282 Chonburi in the direction of Pattaya third road, south Pattaya. The police team then arrested him at Soi Prayadsap, behind Roong Land village, south Pattaya. The officers searched in the pickup truck and found 1 modified revolver size .22 and 22 bullets size .22 which were hidden in a black handbag so they kept them for evidence. The group of trouble makers were identified as Mr. Montri Atthawijit, aged 19, address 144 Moo 14, Tambon Dong Ling, Amphur Kamalasai, Kalasin province, a Ms. Supornpit Yusuk, aged 32, address 176 Moo 4 Tambon Sawat, Amphur Lerng Nok Tha, Yasothon province and a Mr. Seksan Yodmanee, aged 33, address 327/255 Moo 9 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province. The police found a bullet hole in the left back door of the pickup truck so all the people involved were detained.

Upon investigating Mr. Montri Atthawijit, aged 19, he said that he rents jet skis at the beginning of Soi Pattaya 2 beach and the revolver belonged to him which he had bought off the internet for 9,000 THB. Before the incident occurred he and Miss Supornpit Yusuk and Mr. Seksan Yodmanee went to Tamnan Chon pub where they ended up arguing with a group of teenagers so they decided to leave and when they got to their pickup truck they heard gun shots going off and the left back door was hit and a bullet scraped Miss Supornpit’s calf slightly injuring her, he then took out his revolver to shoot back in order to show the teenage rivals that he also had a gun. The police and volunteer police team chased after him and arrested him.

After investigation then the police made note to record for evidence and Mr. Montri was charged with an allegation of having gun and ammunition in possession without permission and he was sent to the investigation officer to be prosecuted further according to the Thai law.
