Police officer with Sawang Boriboon rescue got a move on to the incident and found Mr. Montree Churwong (24), a gay man, was lying dead on the ground in front of the house, with a bruise mark around his neck. Apparently, he used a curtain, which was tied to the water pipe on the roof, about 3 meters high from the ground, to hang himself. Police assumed he had been dead for about 3 hours.

Miss Rung-dao Churwong (32), the older sister of the death man, told officials that Mr. Montree had a playmate named Mr. James (alias) who is living in the same house.

On the night, the incident occurred, Mr. James went to work at a gay pub in South Pattaya and came back home at around 2am. While she was sleeping, she heard them had an argument about Mr. James wanted to go back out to enjoy himself at a pub. After that they had been quiet and she thought that they just had a normal disagreement.

Miss Rung-dao said that, at around 5am, when her boyfriend arrived home from work, she was alerted that Mr. Montree had hung himself. Both of them cut off the curtain and took the body down and immediately informed Mr. James to rush back from outside and notified to the authority.

Initially, police assumed that Mr. Montree was disappointed because Mr. James, his playmate, had gone out for entertainment then decided to commit suicide. The relatives did not have a suspicion about the death and would take the body to perform the religious ritual.
