Pattaya 16th June 2010 [Pattaya Daily News] At 2.00 am police Lieutenant Colonel Rerngwit Ragchat (Pattaya Police Investigator) was notified by Mr. Toshiaki Iwasaki [36] a Japanese national, that he had been drugged by a man believed to be Korean, before being robbed.
The victim explained that he arrived from Japan, after travelling on 15th of June. He arrived in Pattaya City and was preparing to stay at a hotel on 2nd Road, South Pattaya.  Whilst travelling on the bus, he met a man who identified himself as a Korean, approximately 35 years old.
The stranger and the victim had a long and friendly conversation before the Korean invited him to visit his place at a hotel on Pattaya beach, South Pattaya. Mr. Iwasaki said he felt he trusted the offender and followed him to his hotel stopping to purchase some coffee from a mini mart on the way. Subsequently after drinking the coffee, the victim slept for 7 hours, waking up to find that the Korean had disappeared.

Mr. Iwasaki checked his property to find that cash of 120,000 Yen, a Saisoiv Bang Visa card, a computer notebook, a watch and a mobile phone had been stolen. He believed the Korean had put a sleeping pill into the coffee before he drank it and made off with his valuables.
Police Lieutenant Colonel Ragchat recorded all the necessary information for evidence before commencing to track down the offender for judicial procedures.
