The victim explained that he arrived from Japan, after travelling on 15th of June. He arrived in Pattaya City and was preparing to stay at a hotel on 2nd Road, South Pattaya. Whilst travelling on the bus, he met a man who identified himself as a Korean, approximately 35 years old.
The stranger and the victim had a long and friendly conversation before the Korean invited him to visit his place at a hotel on Pattaya beach, South Pattaya. Mr. Iwasaki said he felt he trusted the offender and followed him to his hotel stopping to purchase some coffee from a mini mart on the way. Subsequently after drinking the coffee, the victim slept for 7 hours, waking up to find that the Korean had disappeared.
Mr. Iwasaki checked his property to find that cash of 120,000 Yen, a Saisoiv Bang Visa card, a computer notebook, a watch and a mobile phone had been stolen. He believed the Korean had put a sleeping pill into the coffee before he drank it and made off with his valuables.
