Irish Man Jumps To His Death In Pattaya

An Irish man who was stressed that his house had been repossessed jumped to his death from the 36th floor of a condo.

PATTAYA – February 18,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 22.00 pm Pol.LT.Chopaka Prueksachat-inspector of Pattaya police station- was notified that a man had jumped to his death at Zaye Wongamat Condominium. After notification the police officers and Sawang Borriboon rescue team rushed to the scene.

 

At the scene they found the body of MR.JOHN DAVID KNOTTS aged 49 from Ireland. The officials took photos for evidence.

 

He had jumped from room no.3611 on the 36th floor of the Con Sky Beach condominium which is located near the Zaye Wongammat condominium. Mrs.Kallaya James Nepia aged 47 who was his wife was crying at the scene and had a bruised face.

Upon questioning Mrs.Kallaya she said that she was celebrating Chinese New Year with her husband who she had been with for 2 years. Later he checked his email and was angry and he then hit her in the face.

 

She then went to notify the security guard to help her calm him down and when she went back he was smoking on the balcony so she tried to talk to him and then all of a sudden he jumped off the balcony to his death.

 

She added that she expected that her husband committed suicide because he was stressed about having his house repossessed in Ireland.
