Irish Drunken Duo Stab Two Thais In Pattaya Beer Bar

In central Pattaya two violently drunken Irish hooligans get furious over bargirls not refunding paid barfines. The Irish duo Delaney & Plunkett go berserk, borderline insane and stab two Thais, a motorbike taxi-man and a security guard inflicting serious wounds. Two foreign beer-bar patrons sustain minor injuries. The drunken Irish citizens are under arrest.

Pattaya, February 3, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]: Pol.Lt. Itsadakorn Tepnao, Pattaya police station was notified that two Thai men had suffered serious stab wounds after being attacked by a two Irish pathologically drunken hooligans. The fight happened at Boom-Boom beer bar on Pattaya New Plaza Road.

At the scene of the crime the police & the rescue team found Mr. Yongyoot a 23-year-old-beer bar security guard,stabbed in his left leg. He was swiftly sent off to Pattaya Memorial hospital.

The witnesses said, there was another victim, Mr. Promma Torasawan a 41-year-old-motorbike taxi rider stabbed in the ribs and in the neck. He was also sent to Pattaya Memorial hospital. Both men were unconscious.

Upon investigation Mrs. “Nooch” the 44-year-old owner of the beer bar said, that, before the fight broke out Mr.Darren Philip Delaney a 40-year-old Irish man, her neighbour came to the bar and started drinking heavily until he was completely drunk.

 

He began to act strangely and demanded a return on the bar fine he had paid earlier for girls to have sex with. But the girls were afraid of getting hurt, so they returned to the bar.
That made Mr. Delaney furious and he demanded to have his money back. But the girls refused.

Mr. Delaney was now out of control shouted and turned on two foreigners in the beer bar with his knife. The motor bike taxi rider and the security guard came to restrain him. Delaney managed to escape on his motorcycle. Aftert the incident, Mrs.Nooch closed the bar and took the two foreigners to the hospital and filed a police report.

Mrs.Nooch, said after she returned to the bar the waitresses told her that Mr. Delaney came back to the bar with his friend Mr.Thomas Plunkett age 39, Irish citizen.

 

The two men attacked the motorbike taxi rider and the security guard who had restrained Mr. Delaney. Other motorbike taxi riders who tried to restrain the two violently drunk men were slightly injured. Delaney & Plunkett escaped before the police arrived. Later the police arrested the Irish duo Delaney & Plunkett at their residence: 62/35 Ake Monkol village 8, South Pattaya.

Both were still heavily intoxicated, aggressive and threatened the police and the journalists. But the police managed to handcuff and arrest them.The knife which Mr. Plunkett used to stab the two Thais could not be found. The police assumes that the knife was thrown away during his escape.

Upon interrogation the two suspects said, that they acted in self-defence. They said, that the security guard and the motorbike rider had attacked them first. The two Irish hooligans were detained.They will be interrogated and all the witnesses will be questioned accordingly.
