Iranian Robber Stuns Dubai Man In His Room

A 27-year-old Dubai man was stunned with an electric shock device by an Iranian during a robbery attempt in his hotel room on soi Yensabai. The Iranian also had a fake pistol, but was subdued by the Dubai man and his friend. The victim suffered only minor injuries from the stun gun.

PATTAYA – January 3, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; A report of a man using a pistol and a stun gun during an attempted robbery in a hotel room was received by Pol. Capt. Wisanu Chaisuwarn, vice suppression inspector of Pattaya police station. The incident occurred in a hotel on soi Yensabai in south Pattaya.

Police arrived at the the ground floor of the hotel and found the victim waiting for them. He was identified as Mr. Mohamed Khalrd M Khalfan, 27 years old, Emiratis from Dubai. Helping detain the robber was the hotel security guard and Mr. Mohammed’s friend, also from Dubai.

The robber was identified as Mr. Ali, 25 years old, nationality Iranian. Police seized the evidence of a fake black pistol and a “stun gun” electric shock device.

Mr. Mohammed told the police that he and his friend were sleeping in their room when the robber knocked on the door. When Mr. Mohammed got up and opened the door, the robber pointed the gun at him and entered the room.

The robber then ordered Mr. Mohammed to tell him where his valuable properties were. But Mr. Mohammed soon realized the gun was a fake, and began to wrestle with the robber.

During their struggle, the robber used his stun gun to shock Mr. Mohammed on his arms, causing minor injuries. Meanwhile, Mr. Mohammed’s friend woke up and helped subdue the robber. The victims then summoned the security guard, who helped detain the suspect and called the police to arrest him.
