Iranian Mans Room Burgled

Burglars broke into an Iranian man’s room where they searched for property to steal and fled the scene with the safe.

PATTAYA – March 13, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; late at night; Pol.Lt.Col. Veeravuth Mee-lai (Investigation officer of Pattaya city police station, Chonburi province) was notified that there were an unknown numbers of burglars who broke into a room of a foreigner and stole his safe. The Incident occurred at Success apartment which is located at 265/42-43, north Pattaya road, Moo 9 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province, so he rushed to inspect the scene together with the officers of the Forensic Science Division.

At the incident in room no. 2084 on the second floor the officers found the room which had been ransacked and the victim’s belongings were dispersed all over the room and the safe that was in the wardrobe was missing.

Upon questioning Mr. Mohammad Safai Rad, aged 60, Iranian nationality who is the victim told police that before incident occurred he went out to buy food and was gone for approximately 1 hour and when he came back he found that the door knob was broken and his belongings were dispersed all over the room, also the safe which contained 5,000 THB, Chinese money 50 Yuan, £300, a passport, and many important documents was missing.

Initially, the officers took fingerprints for evidence and they assumed that there were at least 2 burglars. From inspecting the scene further the officers noticed that the apartment has only one entrance and exit and everybody had to walk passed the security guards to get to their rooms, so the officers assumed that it might be an inside job. However, the police will question the security guards and the staff of the apartment further to find the burglars and the other people that might be involved.
