Iranian International Passport Forger Arrested in Pattaya

Department of Special Investigations (DSI) together with police and officers from five related agencies arrested an Iranian man member of an international gang producing fake passports in Pattaya.

PATTAYA – June 8, 2012 [Pattaya Daily News]; Banglamung, Chonburi province Pol. Col. Songsak Raksaksakul, Commissioner of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime Bureau, Pol. Col. Pravet Mulpramook, Deputy Director DSI and team police team reported having arrested Mr. Parknejed Seyed Ramin age 44, Iranian national accused of making fake passports.

The suspect is a wanted criminal of an international organisation with links to the terrorist bombing at Sukhumvit 71, Bangkok on February 14, 2012.


Upon arresting the suspect the police found computers and various equipment to produce fake international passports, and other international documents all together more than 100 items, one rifle, notebooks with lists of customers and evidence of money transfers about 90 million THB.

The suspect is specialised in making fake passport which he had been doing for than five years.

Pol. Col. Sonsak Raksaksakul,Commissioner of Foreign Affairs and Transnational Crime said that the detectives and found out that there was an Iranian gang who that used Thailand as their center to produce and export fake passports to many countries in Europe. The price they charged for the fake passports was about 30,000 THB.


The police believes that Mr. Parknejed Seyed Ramin age 44, Iranian nationality is also linked with the terrorist bombing in Sukhumvit 71, Bangkok on February 14, 2012.

In the suspects room number 520/58 (Building A) Niran Grand Condo, Central Pattaya police found information about people requested fake passports. More than 3,000 names of people.

Mr. Parknejed, refused every accusation but the officers had enough evidence to have him detained. He will be further investigated and prosecuted according to the law.
