Inspection of Pattaya Beach Road Still Sees Rules Being Broken

Pattaya officers had inspected minibus stops and vendors on Pattaya Tai beach road to make sure they are obeying the strict parking and selling rules. They still found that some vans, taxis and sellers were breaking the rules.

PATTAYA-Recently [Pattaya Daily News]; Municipal officers had inspected Pattaya Tai beach road to observe and control minibus stops and vendors who sold goods on the footpath.
 
Upon inspecting they found that minibus drivers were parking in a more orderly fashion that they have done in the past and motorcycle had been parked in alley ways as they had been told. However some taxi s and vans were parked in prohibited areas and some vendors were still selling goods on the footpath.

Mr Wutthipol Charoenpol-Pattaya City Manager- had asked the taxi drivers , van operators and vendors to follow the strict rules by parking in appropriate zones and to sell their goods from inside there store only, not on the footpath. The officers warned them this time but if they are found to be breaking the rules again they will be arrested and prosecuted.
 
Mr.Anupong Putthanawarat-Pattaya senator and administration and peace maintaining of Pattaya committee- revealed that in a conference 2 weeks ago the committee concluded that they will send municipal officers to inspected Pattaya Tai beach road in order to control public parking and streetvendors.

Pattaya Tai beach road is a prototype for controlling minibus stops and vendors in order to maintain a cleaner image of Pattaya city. Pattaya has been controlling van and minibus operators since January therefore they very occasionally do random inspections to make sure they are obeying the strict rules. Also they will bring the matter up in the next conference in order to find a solution.
