Illicit Tour Operator Clamped Down

PATTAYA-18 July-[PattayaDailyNews]; at 14.00 pm Pol Maj Gen Surachet Hakphan led a tea to inspect Longmha hotel after the officers found out that Mr Anuchit Maorungroj has illegally operated.

 

Pol Maj Gen Surachet revealed that Mr Anuchit is Chinese people but he pretended as Thai and he has faked Thai ID card. He operates illegal tour guide company and he brings Chinese tour guides to work in Thailand. He has been hunted by several police stations on charge of extortion tourist and avoiding tax.

 

AMLO (Anti-Money Laundering Office) concluded to confiscate his property for 42 items and 11 real estates and it’s expected that they valued around 200 million baht. Plus, the officers summoned Mr Piya Boonchu, lawyer of suspect, to acknowledge the allegation.

 

Pol Maj Gen Surachet added that this kind of business makes bad effect to tourism industry because the operator brought tourist to stay in unstandardized hotel in sub-urban area. In addition, these hotels are inappropriately modified. However, the officers would clamp down these illegal business further.
