Illegal Distilleries In BangLamung Cracked Down

Administrative and excise officers together crack down on local distilleries in BangLamung district.

PATTAYA – April 2,2016 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 12.00pm Mr.Weera Kittiyarnyon- senior office of Chonburi excise department- was accompanied by Mr.Chakorn Kanchanawatta- BangLamung chief district-, Mr.Prapan Pratumchompoo- deputy chief of stabilisation- and administrative officers to inspect 3 spots in BangLamung district. Previously, the officers has been notified that there are illicit distilleries.

At the first place, the officers inspected a house that Mr.Sanor Praikaew aged 42 is owner. Upon inspection the officers found 14 jars of liquor and a distiller. Mr.Sanor confessed that he had made illegal liquor to sell for 3 years. However, the police officers would have to prosecute him further.

At the second place was a house of Ms.Weena Manaowan aged 47. The officers found 6 jars of liquor. She confessed that she really made the illegal liquor because she needs money for her daughter’s tuition fee. Also she would have to be prosecuted.


At the last place where is the house of Mr.Thanakorn Huay-Yai aged 45, the officers found 38 jars of liquor. The officers have confiscated them. Mr.Thanakorn confessed that the liquor belonged to him; therefore, the officers would have to prosecute him further.

Mr.Prapan revealed that administrative officer has been contacted from excise department that several villagers has distilled and sold illegal liquor. Even though the officers has cracked down several times, they still distilled the liquor for selling. At this time, the administrative officers and excise officer together inspected the local area. In addition, the officers also announced information for the local people that this kind of act is illegal and badly affect to the economy. However, the wrongdoers would have been prosecuted by police officer further.
