Human Trafficking Crack Down By Police

The Royal Thai Police are intending to develop a BIO data database in order to effectively investigate and crackdown on human trafficking.

Recently [Pattaya Daily News]; Pol.Lt.Gen.Prawut Thawornsiri-spokesman of the Royal Thai Police- revealed that the police are to put in measures to prevent human trafficking1.preventing human trafficking around the borders 2.preventing internal trafficking 3.preventing trafficking in risky venues 4.preventing officers from getting involved in human trafficking


Pol.Lt.Gen.Prawut added that the police officers intended to develop technology in order to prove individual identity because the officers at the moment are just inspecting the names and pictures in peoples passports which wasn’t enough. It’s expected that BIO data will be able to help the officers to effectively inspect each individual such as face and finger prints.


The Royal Thai Police office had performed the measures according to the government’s policy and the officers also needed collaboration from the public if they see any kinds of human trafficking such as providing girls for prostitution, fraud, force to prostitute and forced labour are to contact the police via the Hot Line 1991 and Royal Thai Police Operations on 1599 open 24 hours.
