Hospitals Ready for MERS

Pattaya officials have been to inspect the hospital around Pattaya to see if they are prepared to cope with patients who may be infected with MERS.

PATTAYA – June 30,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at Bangkok-Pattaya hospital, Sqn.Ldr.Dr.Boonrueng Trairuengworrawat-director of public health- went to inspect the countermeasure of MERS in the Bangkok-Pattaya hospital, Pattaya Memorial hospital and Pattaya Inter hospital because Pattaya is a high risk area due to the variety of tourists.

 

The officers checked the medical equipment, ICU and how they recognised the patient’s symptoms. Dr.Wichit Kangwolkit-chief of Bangkok Pattaya hospital- said that Bangkok-Pattaya hospital are prepared for the worst situation. If the patients come from a risky country and show signs of MERS they will be put into isolation.

Sqn.Ldr.Dr.Boonrueng said that MERS or COV is a really dangerous deceased which can cause death. The officials would like to inform local people that there is no need to be concerned because the public and private sectors had prepared well to cope with the situation.
