Honest Housekeeper Hands in Wallet to The Police at Pattaya

A housekeeper who picked up a bag which was left on the side of the road looked inside and found 200,000 baht and a passport. She then took it to the police station in order to find its owner.

PATTAYA – May 24, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 11.00 pm. Mrs.Yupin Boonpetch aged 43 who is a housekeeper in a spa shop in Pattaya took a wallet which contained a passport and 220,000 baht to Pol Capt.Kritcha Prathumkaew-investigation inspector at the police station to search the owner.
 
Mrs Yupin revealed that she was riding her motorcycle on the Pattaya Nua road when she stopped at the conjunction where she found a bag beside the road. She decided to pick it up and she was shocked when she looked inside because there was a lot of baht and euros inside valued around 220,000 baht. Also there was a passport of Mr.James Roy Malamik aged 64 from America. She decided to take it to the police in order to search the owner. She revealed the reason why she didn’t keep it was because she knew the owner would be so stressed after losing the money.
 
Soon after Mr.James Roy Malamik went to the police station to collect his wallet. He revealed that he is a language teacher in Rajjapat Thepsirin school in Bangkok. However he really appreciated the lady handing in his wallet and gave her 10,000 baht for her kindness.
