High Speed Ferry For Pattaya

Representative from the NCPO followed up on the construction of the new ferry pier in Pattaya which will link Hua Hin and the south of Thailand.

PATTAYA-20th June- [PattayaDaiyNews] Gen.Wirot Nitsayun- consultant and deputy director of the NCPO- was accompanied with the economic team of the NCPO went to inspect Pattaya in order to inspect the progress of the new ferry port.


The port will link Pattaya-Huahin and the officials intend to start construct at Bali Hai pier. Mr Itthiol Khunpluem- mayor of Pattaya-, Mr.Rewat Phoieng- director of Pattaya marine department- welcomed the committee and reported on the current situation.


Mr Itthipol said that the Department of Public Work, Town & Country Planning had allocated 238 million baht to construct the ferry pier in South Pattaya. The port will be 800 meters in length and will cover around 5,528 square meters and there will be port A,B,C,D and E.


Gen Wirot revealed that the government had focused on this project because its great opportunity to connect Pattaya with the South and East of Thailand.


A Catamaran boat will be used which will be able to carry 280 passengers once the pier is complete. The boat will be able to reach Hua Hin within 1.5-2 hours compared with 4-5 hours by road.
