Saturday 31st October 2009 [Pattaya Daily News]: – This year’s festivities were noted as being a massive improvement on the previous year’s event, largely due to the increased investment in all aspects of the festival. Performances included a very impressive display by the “Pattaya Players” drama group, and some other creative local talents. There was also an increase in the amount of attractions provided for the children of the area and those holidaying, which included many exciting games, pony rides and other activities.

One highlight of the event was the guided ghost walks, which included a night time walk around nine separate feature areas with ghost stories by a black caped Thor Halland. The large contingent of our “Pattaya Players” performed as true professional amateurs to an appreciative crowd. There was also a tasty range of food and drink provided at the outdoor restaurant, and the games provided a great deal of entertainment for the children.

It must be noted that although entry to the event was not free all proceeds go to the “Mercy Centre”, which is an orphanage east off Sukumvit Road in North Pattaya. Due to the increased organization of the event this year a marked improvement in attendance was seen, making the night one to remember for all who decided to attend, so mark it in your diaries for next year.
