Girl Shot by Teenage Motorcycle Gang In Pattaya

A teenage motorcycle gang who shot at a rival teenage motorcycle gang hit and injured a female gang member. She was hit in the hip and was sent to hospital for treatment where she recovered.

PATTAYA – July 13, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News];- at 03.00 am Pol.Lt.Col.Pairoj Petchploy-acting deputy superintendent of Pattaya police station- was notified that there had been a shooting in front of ThaiNamThip Ltd., Pattaya. After notification the police and Sawang Borriboon rescue team rushed to the scene.

 

At the scene the officers found 4 motorcycles which had fallen on the ground and Ms.Kanjana Boonthong aged 20 had suffered a gunshot wound to her right hip. Initially the officers performed first aid before sending her to Bang Lamung hospital for treatment.

Upon questioning Mr.Yutthana Chamalai 26 year old who is Ms.Kanjana’s boyfriend told police that earlier he and his 7 friends were taking one of their friends back home who lives in Soi Chaiyapruek road. They called themselves “Ta Bun Roo” gang. When they reached the scene there were around 20 people in another motorcycle teenage gang who then chased them. Whilst chasing them one of the gang started shooting at them around 4-5 times hitting Ms.Kanjana injuring her before they fled the scene. However they knew one of the gang members named Mr Counter.

 

The police are now hunting Mr Counter in order to arrest him and the other gang members until the shooter is arrested and prosecuted according to Thai law.
