GERMAN MAN SUFFOCATES WITH LUNG DECEASE AND DIES IN FRONT OF HIS THAI WIFE

A German man had been suffering with decease of lung for a long time. Suddenly, he had suffocated during the night. His wife promptly prepared to take him to the hospital. Unfortunately, it was too late. The man died in front of her in the room.

On 14 November 2007, at 02.30 AM, Pol.Lt.Col. Samrarn Kamtana, Pattaya investigator, was notified that a foreign guy had been dead in an apartment No. 514/161, on the 9th floor of “Roong Fah Condominium”, Sukhumvit-Central Pattaya road. Police team along with Sawang boriboon rescue rushed to the incident.
Officials found Mr. Wirfried Wolfgang Tietz, (57), a German citizen lying dead by the side of the bed. He wore a green shirt and a blue jeans. He had only one sock on. His face turned blue, presumably he had been dead for one hour. Mrs. Mulika Sodsap, (33), his illegitimate wife was crying by the side of his deceased body.

Mrs. Mulika told officials that she had been living with Mr. Wirfried as husband and wife for six years. Lately, Mr. Wirfried had been sick and had to go to hospital regularly. Two days ago, she took her husband to have a check up at Pattaya Memorial hospital and the doctor said that he had Pneumonia. Doctor prescribed some medicines for him and he had come back home to be nursed. The next doctor appointment was on 15 November.

During the night, Mr. Wirfried started to suffocate and looked like it was getting worse. Mrs. Mulika immediately put clothes on him in order to take him to Pattaya Memorial hospital. Mr. Wirfried could not breath and had a convulsion. His face turned blue and died in front of her. Mrs. Mulika attempted to call her neighbour to help pumping his heart. Unfortunately, it was too late. Her husband had been dead and then she called to the police. Officials believed that Mr. Wirfried’s death caused by his sickness. However, officials had transferred his body for clearly examination and German Embassy would be informed.
