German Man Cleans Payphones

A German man decided to clean payphones in Udonthani province because he had fallen in love with Thailand.

Udonthani – Recently [Pattaya Daily News]; Have updated the news of a Facebook page which had posted a picture of a German man who was cleaning public payphones because he really loved Thailand.

 

On the 25th February reporters met the man who had a rake and a garbage bag, plus he was collecting rubbish on the bank of a draining canal on Pho Si road in front of Charoen hotel. His name is Mr. Rudee Festedlings aged 55 from Berlin, Germany.

 

He revealed that he was a cleaner in German and he earned a 100 Euros a day and he always holidayed in Thailand when he had time. He usually traveled to Udonthani province and he had done so for the last 6 years.

 

He cleaned payphones because he noticed that they were dirty. There was also grass around the phones and lots of paper ads, therefore he decided to clean them. He added that he also had brooms, spades and a trimmer in order to clean the footpath and he had done this every day for the last 5 weeks. He will be going back home on the 26th February.

 

He added that he really loved Thailand because the people are easy going. As he was cleaning Thai people gave him drinks and some also asked to have their photo taken with him.
