Pattaya – On 13 February 2008, at 5am, Pattaya Inspector, Police Lieutenant Colonel Tanagrit Lappitisan was informed by a witness that a foreigner had been attacked by a group of teenagers on Soi Buakow. After reporting the incident to his chief, Police Lieutenant Colonel Tanagrit, along with his team, rushed to the crime scene, which was in front of Siri Guesthouse, near Oscar Karaoke, on Soi Buakow, Moo 9, Nongprue, Banglamung.

There, police found the remnants of a brawl, including a bloodstained rock, which was lying on the road. According to witnesses, an Englishman, Mr. Roger Parker (50), was attacked by a gang of three to four teenagers, who drove away on their beat up black Nissan Sunny, license no. 2534, Bangkok, after the attack.

The victim, Mr. Parker, had been punched, viciously. In addition, his face and head had been battered with a rock. No one was able to tell the police any motive for the attack. His friend, who rushed Mr. Parker to Pattaya Memorial Hospital, was also unable to give police details about the attack or the reasons for it.

Police assumed that Mr. Parker, the victim, who was drunk, may have had some sort of conflict with the group of attackers; or that someone may have hired the gang to attack him. The police took a report of the incident and will interview Mr. Parker when his condition has improved and his inebriation has worn off. A vigorous search for the attackers will be mounted so they can be brought to justice.
