Gang Of Vagabond Children Arrested

A gang of vagabond children in Chonburi province were arrested after they were found wandering around entering peoples houses and stealing their property and toys.

CHONBURI – November 11, 2013 [Pattaya Daily News]; At the gift shop in Tambon Thoongsukkhala, Amphur Sriracha, Chonburi province, Pol. Lt. Col. Tharathep Tuphanich (Deputy Superintendent of Laem Chabang police station) together with the detective police team made a statement about the arresting of Mr. Chang (alias), aged 15, (alias) a Boy (alias), aged 12, who were found to be carrying 2 Samsung mobile phones, 3 tablets, 1 notebook computer and 2 blue teddy bears.

Police were notified from more than 10 victims who live in the area of Thaley Thong building, Moo 10 Tambon Thoongsukkhala, Amphur Sriracha that they were the thieves who stole property from their houses and various shops since at the beginning of November. The police then checked the CCTV and confirmed that the arrested where the thieves in question. After they were arrested, they took the police to show them all the other items they had stolen from peoples homes and shops.

From questioning the 3 defendants, they confessed that they drove a motorbike around looking for houses that they could steal from. They looked for houses were the owners were out. They would try the door or use an adjustable spanner to pry open a window to gain access to the property then they would steal various kinds of things such as money, gold, appliances, soap, toothpaste and many dolls so they could play with them at a later date because they were children themselves and didn’t have any dolls to play with.

Furthermore these 3 vagabond children also used to wander and steal people’s property in the area of Laem Chabang police station and Nong Kharm police station several times but they had not been arrested until now. They were arrested at Laem Chabang police station this time. The police detained all of them and they are awaiting to be prosecuted according to Thai law.
