On January 14, 2013, at 3:20 p.m., a report of 4 men being injured in a car collision with a parked truck on the side of the road was received by the rescue officers of Sawangboribul Pattaya foundation.

The incident occurred on Sukhumvit road, entrance side to Sattahip in front of Poo Seedling shop near the floating market in Tambon Nong Preu, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province.

At the scene, officers found the damaged pickup truck, a golden bronze Isuzu D-Max. It had been rammed on its rear right side by the other vehicle, and the impact had shoved it onto the sidewalk. Standing next to his damaged pickup truck was the owner, Mr. Wanchai Lertngarm, age 52.

The other vehicle involved in the collision was a black Honda Accord. After hitting the truck, the Honda then hit an electric pole and got severely damaged, scattering car parts all over the road.

The four male occupants in the car were all injured, but survived the crash. None had life-threatening injuries, and were listed in stable condition at the hospital.

The injured men were identified as Mr. Saengsuree Phuangjampa, age 27, the owner and the driver of the car; Mr. Jaran Weera-orn, age 20; Mr. Viroj Mokmeuangreng, age 30; and Mr. Sathit Nukaew, age 22.

All of them had many wounds on their bodies, and the rescue officers sent them to Banglamung hospital. The car’s driver, Mr. Saengsuree, told police that he and his friends had visited Jomtien beach and were on their way back to Sattahip.

But when Mr. Saenguree accelerated to pass a car in front of him, he lost control of his car. His Honda then collided with a pickup truck parked on the side of the road, and then hit the electric pole.
