At 3:00 pm Police Lieutenant Colonel Chaigrit Tong-Inn, Police Lieutenant Kumpanart Ritpetchnil and their Chonburi investigatiion team, caught the two suspects red-handed in possession of Yah Bah tablets when they arrived at a pre-determined meeting place at Soi Dum-Dang , Central Pattaya road, Moo. 9, Nongprue, Banglamung.

One of the suspects, Mr. Somsak Mahamud, [36], a former volunteer police for the Roi Lang community, was found to be in possession of 70 Yahbah tablets worth 12000 baht. A further 100 tablets were found in a plastic bag hidden in the charger socket of the suspects’ car, a black Toyota Vios No. 6133, Chonburi. Mr. Somsak and his accomplice, Mr. Amnart Poh Ngern, [22], were both taken into custody.

The Chonburi investigating team discovered that Mr. Somsak, who also had a reputation for illegal money lending, was on a waiting list to be penalized for previous charges of drugs distribution, following his arrest in Chacherngsao province for carrying 200 Yahbah tablets from an agent named “K”. He had bought the drugs for 25000 baht and sold them for 30000 baht.

On that occasion he was lucky to be put on the waiting list, requiring him to report to the police on a regular basis. This time, however, he would be sent to the local Pattaya police for further processing, where he can expect a more severe punishment.
