At the scene the officers found the body of Mr.Pierre Georges Glauser a 69 year old from Switzerland in the bathroom. The body was on a lavatory and his neck, wrists and ankles had been slashed. Upon questioning Mrs.Wassana Glauser the 35 year old deceased’s wife she told police that they had lived together for 6 years and they had a daughter. The night before her husband couldn’t breathe easily so they went to see the doctor at Bang Lamung hospital. The doctor told him that he was suffering from pneumonia and he had to stay in hospital overnight but he went back home. Later in the afternoon she was changing a car tire and her husband had been in the bathroom for a long time so she called him but he didn’t answer and the door was locked. So he told a worker to break the door down where they found him dead on the floor.

Pol.Lt.Col.Somkid revealed that the officers expected that the man might have been depressed and stressed and decided to commit suicide. However the police officers sent the body for an autopsy at the Police hospital in order to find out the real cause of death before notifying the embassy.
