Pattaya, the 10th February 2010 [Pattaya Daily News]: At approximately 2.00 am Police Lieutenant Colonel Pradipat Phumalee a Dongtan Police Investigator, was notified by Pattaya Memorial Hospital, that an unidentified foreign male had been brought in for treatment by the Sawang Boriboon Foundation following a motorbike accident, but was dead on arrival due to the severity of his injuries.

Subsequently, the Police and his team of officers, rushed to the hospital to find the body of the unidentified white male [approximately 50 years and 180cm tall] wearing red shorts and a white round neck vest. He had suffered a broken neck and severe bruising to his body. Officers took his fingerprints in an effort to identify him before sending his body to a forensic institution for autopsy.

Police found that the deceased man had driven a black Yamaha Mio (registered in Chon Buri) from Pattaya toward Jomtien Beach, approaching the scene approximately 200 metres from the Pattaya Court where there was a diversion due the road construction. The road surface in that particular area was rough and bumpy with no clear warning signs which led to the fatal accident.

The Officers went to the scene of the accident to find as stated, a motorbike on the road which has been kept in order to help find the identity of the man. There have been repeated accidents on this road during the time of the construction.
