Foreign Thieves Steal Watch Worth 10 Million THB

A shop in Bangkok which sells luxury watches had a watch stolen worth 10 million THB. The 3 male foreigners who acted as customers asked to look at lots of watches and when the employee was distracted one of them put a watch worth 10 million THB casually into his bag.

BANGKOK – April 15, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; Pol.Lt.Col. Somkiet Phloythabthim (Investigation officer of Lumpini police station) was notified that thieves had stolen a luxury wrist watch in Kesorn Plaza department store, Lumpini Sub-district, Pathumwan District, Bangkok, so he rushed to inspect the scene together with the detective police team.

At the incident a shop which sells the luxury Mont Blanc brand, is located on the ground floor of a department store. Upon questioning the employee he told police that 3 foreign men came into the shop and asked to have a look at a luxury wrist watch made by Mont Blanc, a Villeret Bi-Cylindrique Tourbillon Model Numbers 106494 model, worth approximately 10 million THB, that was shown in the glass showcase near the counter. Then 2 of them asked to have a look at 4 other watches and spoke in Chinese with a Vietnamese accent when 1 of the men walked over to a show case, unlocked it and grabbed a luxury watch (the one with worth approximately 10 million THB) and put it into his bag and casually walked back over to the other two suspects who were talking with the employee.

Initially, the police perceived that the stolen Mont Blanc watch was one of only 8 watches in the world with one in Thailand with a price tag of 10,120,000 THB. The officers had inspected the CCTV of the shop and found that the thieves were 3 foreign men. The first suspect had short hair and wore a cream-coloured shirt with black trousers , the second suspect was plump with short hair and wore a black shirt and trousers and the third suspect who stole the watch had a skinhead and wore a polka dot creamy T-shirt with cream trousers and black leather shoes.

The police will investigate the employee of the shop and the circumstantial witnesses again and are now hunting the taxi cab that picked up the 3 culprits to be investigated where the taxi driver took them.
