Foreign Man Tries To Gas Himself In His Car In Pattaya

A foreign man who had been arguing with his wife tried to commit suicide by locking himself in his car and then turning on 2 LPG gas tanks. Fortunately recuse teams got to him in time.

PATTAYA– October 13, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 00.30 am Pol.Lt.Col.Issaranuwat Jongapichaikul-inspector of Pattaya police station- was notified that a foreigner had locked himself in the car and turned on the LPG gas in an effort to commit suicide on Tesco Lotus car park , South Pattaya. After notification the police officers rushed to inspect the scene.

 

At the scene the officials found a foreign man who was identified as MR.HANS RUDLF MAURER approximately aged 50-60 from Switzerland who was unconscious in a Chevrolet car. On the back seat there were 2 LPG gas tanks that we open and the car was locked.

The rescue team had tried to open the car for 20 minutes without any success so they decided to break the windowto gain access inside the car to turn the gas tanks off. The unconscious man was then sent to the Bangkok Pattaya hospital where he made a full recovery.

 

Upon questioning his relatives they revealed that previously MR.HANS had argued with his wife and MR.HANS left the house in his car. Later he messaged his wife that he was going to commit suicide at the department store. His wife was afraid so she decide to follow him but she couldn’t open the car. Finally she decided to notify the police.
