Foreign Man Jumps to His Death in Pattaya

A foreign man who was so stressed with his illness decided to jump to his death from the 21st floor of a condominium where he lived.

PATTAYA – June 8, 2014 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 8.30 p.m., Pol.Lt.Col. Issaranuwat Jongaphichaikul (Inquiry official of Pattaya city police station, Dong Tarn Curve sub-branch, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province) was notified that there was a foreign man who had fallen to his death from a building. The incident occurred at a condominium in Jomtien, Jomtien beach road, Moo 12 Tambon Nong Prue, Amphur Banglamung, Chonburi province, so he rushed to inspect the scene together with the rescuers of Sawang Boriboon Tharmma Satharn Foundation, Pattaya city.

 

At the scene was a 30-storey luxury condominium and the security guards were stopping the journalists to go inside the condominium to take photographs. On the ground to the entrance of the car park the officers found the body of a foreign man who was identified as Mr. Semyon Roitman, aged 67, American nationality.

 

The police then inspected his room on the 21st floor no 2119 where they found no signs of foul play. Initially, the police assumed that Mr. Semyon might have committed suicide. Upon questioning the maid she told the police that Mr. Semyon was sick with Alzheimer’s disease and while the incident occurred she heard a noise as if something fell from the building and hit the ground so she rushed to inform the security guards to check it out where they found the body of Mr. Semyon at the ground beside the building.

 

After investigating, the police assumed that Mr. Semyon was very stressed by his illness and decided to jump to his death. The police then sent the body of Mr. Semyon for an autopsy and will contact his embassy in order for his family to collect his body.
