Foreign Card Players Caught Red Handed in Pattaya

Pattaya officials caught foreign gamblers in an commercial building in Pattaya.

PATTAYA-3 February- [PattayaDailyNews] at 19.30 pm Mr.Chakorn kanchanawatta- chief district of bang Lamung- was notified that the foreigner illegally gambled in a commercial building in South Pattaya. After notification he ordered Mr.Prapan Pratumchompoo- deputy chief of stabilization- to rush to the scene with police officers, soldiers, administrative officers, and officers from excise department.


At the scene where is commercial building which has 3 floors and the first floor is European restaurant called ALTO’S, the officers went to the 2nd floor and they found a group of foreigners who were playing card there. Therefore, the officers caught all of them which were 32 foreigners (26 men and 6 women). Mr.Jeremy Watson confessed that he was the banker and owner of the building. Also the officers confiscated those items such as laptops, SWARM brand cards and record machine.

Previously, the official has been reported by their spy that the foreigners always assembled in this commercial building; therefore, the officers has investigated until they found out that there might be gambling there. In addition, the had record machine which record the result because the officers didn’t find money there. It’s expected that the banker paid the gamblers via bank account. However, the poice officers would prosecute them according to Thai law.
