Flood Victims Receive Supplies

Pattaya police and kind hearted people have given food and water to over 100 flood victims who are still trapped in their homes by flood water.

PATTAYA – September 17,2015 [PattayaDailyNews]; at 11.30 a.m., Mr. Wutthisak Rermkitjakarn (Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City) together with Pol.Col. Sukthas Phoomphanmuang (Superintendent of Pattaya city police station) mobilized police teams to help the residents of Thoong Tawan Thong Village, Soi Sukhumvit – Pattaya 46, south Pattaya after it was affected by serve flooding which was up to around 1.30 meters deep affecting around 40 houses.

Mr. Wutthisak Rermkitjakarn (Deputy Mayor of Pattaya City) revealed that most of Pattaya was affected by the flooding and the water had already receded but the area around Thoong Tawan Thong Village was still flooded due to it being in a low lying area. The flood water was full of peoples belongings such as cars, motorbikes and personal items, also over 100 people were still stuck inside their houses and were waiting for assistance.

The police and kind-hearted people had given the flood victims food and water to help them through their time of need. The emergency supplies were given to them using paddling boats which was the only way of reaching them. Weather reports have said that there will not be any more heavy rain for the next few days and the water levels should recede within a couple of days.
