Five Gamblers Captured, Five Escaped

The police raided an illegal gambling game of ten beer-bar employees, arresting five gamblers while the other five escaped the scene.

Pattaya, 28th March 2011 [Pattaya Daily News]: At 4 a.m., Police Sub-Lieutenant, Panlop Ringrod, of Pattaya Police Department was informed of an illegal gambling taken place at a bar located at 13/4 Soi, Moo. 9, Pattaya No.2 Road, Nongprue, Banglamung, Chonburi. The police and the Civil Defense Volunteer rushed to the scene.

The police discovered over ten gamblers at the scene. When the players saw the police, they all tried to run away. The police were able to catch only five gamblers, while the other five escaped. The suspects arrested were Mr. Anusorn Juanchainat, aged 29; Mr. Tossapon Juan chainat, aged 28; Mr. Lek Wijiram, aged 29; Mr. Rachen Meesangwaew, aged 30 and Mr. Stam Sinsawat, aged 46. The police also seized some evidence found at the scene such as gambling devices.

All of the suspects, who were captured, confessed that they had always gambled illegally. Most of them worked at the nearby beer bars. They all alternate in turns to host the gambling games, until they were caught today.
