Fish Fighting Gamblers Arrested

Police of Huay Yai police station have arrested 22 fish fighting gamblers. They were caught red handed in a den hidden in the woods.

PATTAYA – September 1,2015 [Pattaya Daily News]; at 6.30 p.m., Pol.Col. Anan Phu-ra-hong (Superintendent of Huay Yai police station, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province), Pol.Lt.Col. Wicharnwit Khoei-karn (Inspector) and some forces of police of Huay Yai police station together made a statement about the arrest of a big gambling den. They were gambling on fish fighting and a total of 22 male gamblers were arrested with 4 fighting fish, 2 glass jars and 100 THB cash.

 

The police were informed that some people had been gambling on fish fighting in a bamboo hut in the woods at Soi Chak Nok 16/1, Moo 4 Tambon Huay Yai, Amphur Banglamung, Chon Buri province. Therefore 20 police and police in plainclothes raided the gambling den and arrested them. Upon questioning the gamblers they confessed that they met once a week to gamble on fish fighting.

 

After questioning the police charged all 22 defendants with gambling before sending them to the police station where bail was refused. They are all now waiting a court appearance.
